I am an artist and illustrator. I do daft pictures of places and people with no faces.
Here’s a longer, more important sounding version of that for copying and pasting:
Luke Prest is an artist and Illustrator. Born in Sheffield as a child of the 80’s, he was raised and educated just over the border in Dronfield, North East Derbyshire.
As a child, Luke loved doodling things and sticking stuff together. He later took A-Level art and failed it with flying colours – too busy drawing cartoons and silly stuff to be bothered with the boring content on the syllabus! At that point, he gave up art in the traditional sense and moved into technical drawing and built a career in Architecture.
Early in 2011 he moved house and “faced with bare walls and no money to buy any proper art” he decided to have a bash at something himself and rekindled a lost passion for drawing and painting.
He’s since been profiled in several newspapers and magazines, been interviewed on live radio, sold works to aristocracy and international sportsmen and been commissioned by football clubs and household brands, local business’ and many private collectors. He has turned his hand to book covers, murals and sweet wrappers amongst other things.
